The tree twists and limb structures that I've run acroos in Kansas have been similar to those reported elswhere. These are the things that have made me go Hmmmm....

Trees that have been twisted and are next to similar trees that are undamaged. Limbs that are arranged in complicated structures. Tree bows that are held down by logs that could not have fallen on the bowed tree.

I found this rock alongside a one-lane farm road in N.E. Kansas. A 6-foot by 4 foot by 10-inch slab of limestone was lifted up and set back down on a tree stump. The 8-inch diameter tree was broken off about 16 inches above the ground. The ground where the rock had laid looked as if it had taken place fairly recently. There were no marks or scratches on the rock to indicate a piece of equipment had been used. A rock that was lying on top was undisturbed by the whole thing, it still showed the weather out line when it was moved.
